Multiple Monitor logs making the job to stuck

Hi,

We have an issue with one of jobs which is inserting 20 million records in DS 12.2.0.0. The job does a bulk load. Of late the job is getting stuck at this stage and when we digged into issue, we found there were no locks created or network issue, but the job was opening 1024 monitor log files to write the log. We had the Monitor sample rate as 1000, so we increased the sample rate to 64000 and the linux open file count from 1024 to 65000 and the issue was solved(created a workaround). Any help or suggestion is highly appreciated.

Is it normal for DS to open files for each sample rate and not append it?
Is there a way to fix this issue because we are not sure if having 65000 open file limit on linux appropriate or not.
