Technically those guys are right, but why bother with an FMS?
Sounds like you could probably do what you are looking for using a Crystal Reports layout and formula. If you have a chunk of text and then some fields with formulas you could easily do it that way. If you wanted a more complicated formula just use a command (SQL query) within Crystal Reports and it will let you do virtually anything you can think of.
The bonus with this is you can program it into the layouts so the user doesn't even have to remember to go into opening remarks. Crystal will do it all for you, formatted properly with the correct data.
Perhaps you could expand on the exact scenario and information you are trying to pull. What is the business problem you are trying to solve?
