Since Time Profile is flexible to be at any granularity needed, having daily time buckets is possible. But the downside of this is the database space consumption and a lot of noise. Also consider that in some cases the data values may be small enough that they would not split in any meaningful way to a day level if changes are made at higher time buckets.
I would ask the question why one would need to be in daily buckets for S&OP process?
