Re: Time Based weighting factors in time stream id

Thanks Ada,

I posted this after reading your note that shows proportions of "ADA" planning area :-)  In fact I read this some days ago when you referred to the same note but I posted this with a purpose..viz. saving the future generations form needless torture.

What I continue to marvel at is your deceiving and deceitful help documentation by calling same thing by different names and that too in the same context.

The phrase "Time Based Weighting Factors" coming from SAP, sounds like there must be some table some where to manually maintain these factors to manipulate time based dis aggregation!! (just like so many other weighting profiles we have in APO for various functions)

If I were the author of SAP help doco, I would have written thusly.

If the key figure values prior to distribution were initial, and if a time stream ID forms part of the storage buckets profile definition, the system uses the default proportions for this planning area from the structure /SAPAPO/OM_TGBUCKET  All subsequent changes use the existing values in the storage buckets for time based dis-aggregation.

These default proportions are not used when the value in coarser time bucket is zero to begin with (as opposed to blank).  In this case all storage buckets carry equal weights, even though the length of the storage bucket may not be identical. This may sometimes result in unexpected outcomes depending on your key figure settings.

Refer note 1902413 for examples on how time based dis aggregation works.

Danke

BS
