Production order settlement would happen to material. Only the variances would be posted to costing based COPA if customized.
It does not make sense to post the production costs to COPA as they would flow during billing to COPA via the VPRS condition. Also you can get the detailed cost component breakup via valuation i.e access to a cost estimate during billing.
